Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances.
